Dear Family, Last week, we sat with Matt O’Neill and dismantled the "Martyr’s Mask." We talked about how shifting from sacrifice to choice can make a 68-year-old grandmother feel like she’s 30 again. But even when we choose this life, there is often a "lead shield" we carry—a heavy, cold weight of resentment toward the people who left us with the wreckage. I recently welcomed back Katharine Giovanni, author of The Ultimate Path to Forgiveness. Katharine is a Stage 3 cancer survivor and a childhood trauma overcomer who has no time for hollow platitudes. She helped me realize that being the Invisible CEO means we have to stop drinking the poison of anger and hoping the other person gets sick.\ The Raw Truth: The Purple Cup I’ve been carrying a "purple coffee cup" around my kitchen lately. Not a real one, but the mental one Katharine describes. At first, my anger toward the biological parents felt like a shield. I thought if I stayed mad enough, I’d be vigilant enough to protect my grandkids. I thought my rage was the gatekeeper of their safety.

But the longer I hold that cup, the heavier it gets. Today, I realized I’ve been holding it so close to my face that I can’t even see the children standing in front of me. I’m missing the small, bright moments of their healing because I’m squinting through a fog of "how could they?"

I’ve been afraid to let go of the anger because I thought it meant condoning the behavior. Katharine taught me that forgiveness isn't for them—it’s a selfish, executive decision to clear my own internal motherboard so my hands are finally free to hold my family.
Inside the Project: Episode 120 This Week’s Guest: Katharine Giovanni | The Ultimate Path to Forgiveness In this episode, we dismantle the toxic advice to "just forgive and move on." Katharine walks us through her 3-list system for clearing emotional debt and explains the "Secret Sauce" of forgiving the energy around a trauma, not just the person. We also dive into the science of how toxic thoughts physically change the water molecules in our bodies. [🎧 LISTEN TO EPISODE #120: Katharine Giovanni] The Reflection RoomKatharine reminded us that anger acts like a fog on the windshield of our intuition. Ask yourself today: Is my rage actually protecting my grandchildren, or is it just preventing me from seeing them? A CEO doesn't lead through a blur; they lead with a clear view of the road. Are you ready to lift the fog? The Toolbox: Tactical Moves

Legacy Builders Connecting Hearts, Nurturing the Future Vol. 1, No. 95 | August 18, 2026 Dear Family, It’s true confession time. I spent yesterday afternoon feeling like all I wanted to do was watch my plants grow. Like many of you, I’ve tried to will myself out of exhaustion, forgetting that sleep and rest are biological requirements, not luxury items. My conversation with Dr....
